THis is a generational thing. Most women under the age of 50 hate that crap. Maybe even most women under 60.
'Course, if your typical date involves some sort of escort service, you can "dear" "sweety" "doll" them all night long if you want

Well I am under 50, Art, and I don't mind when either a woman or a man calls me an affectionate name like dear or sweetie...If a man calls me beautiful, that is a bit much, because it's flirtatious in nature and I am in a relationship...In any case, this is getting off topic again...Allen was writing about his shoulder problem.. |

I think if you took a poll you'd find the majority of young women find that demeaning. A lot depends on context and delivery though. |

At least with hookers, you know what the relataionship will cost you in advance.
