Hi Ace, He did reduced his intake of bitter melon and the diabetes didn't come back. I'm guessing that he replaced his belief that bitter melon will cure him with the belief that he is now cure and healthy. The BM some how "fixed" the defect in his body or his "gene". :)

I attended Dr. Lissa Rankin's event last night and it was very successful, 50-60 Mindbody bodyminded people in the same room overlooking SF Bay.

She's now training other doctors, heath care workers, and practitioners in ways I feel are very complementary to Dr. Sarno's philosophy. Although I seldom need to go to doctor's any more, (maybe once every five years), thanks to having Dr. Sarno in my mental medicine cabinet, I got info on a health group near me that I will be looking into--just in case. There the patient is at the "center of the mindbody round-table" and is listened to.
It was a very informative and enriching evening and I'm glad I went, I'm looking forward to reading her book now. She threw the event open to any and all questions and personal stories. She graciously stuck around late into the night to sign everyone's books and speak to them personally. I asked her if she was familiar with Dr. Sarno and she was. I gave her a book too, Nicole Sachs's "The Meaning of TRUTH".
