Hi everyone,
I'm in Australia for 10 days on holiday and also to check out a few places in Queensland where we are hoping to immigrate to. I had a nine hour flight on the night of the 5th Feb and although my back didn't hurt too much during the flight, it has come back at a time when i need to be moving around and driving.
I am still trying to ignore it as much as possible but it is so bugging. Any thoughts on why this might be happening since it is not supposed to be physical or have anything to do with the fact that I sat for nine hours at a stretch? Would appreciate your thoughts on this one and I will check for messages though not as frequently as ususal.
G'day.

After having a child, moving is probably #1 in positive events that create repressed rage/fear.
Also, sitting doesn't cause TMS,but sitting in a plane, perhaps aware of the helplessness one is really experiencing while flying(terrorists, crashes) would grate on any subconscious....not to mention the claustrophobia.
and of course, what's going on in your life....you told us what you're sure it's NOT,and I believe you are correct, but are you concerned about work,Family, something back home???
If you are thinking about moving, that is a huge change in ones life.
What's going on?
peace

I 100% agree with baseball that "checking out a few places to emigrate to" is absolutely rife with emotional stuff! And, that sitting still on a plane has got to have underlying tension and stress attached to it - especially in this post-9/11 world.
Dig into that "emigrating" stuff - here if you'd like - what's going on, how are you feeling about the move? |

Baseball65 and Hilary, Thanks for your responses. I think you are both right about focusing more on the 'move to australia'. I'll be posting more on that when I get home. As for the flying bit, I think I'm ok with that as I've been doing that a lot ever since I was a kid. I in fact enjoy flying coz I feel once I'm on the plane I'm no longer in control of anything and can just let go. It's like being totally free
