| Can you elaborate on this a little? Sensitive to what..cold, heat, pressure, out of nowhere? I have problems with teeth and TMJ so would like to help you with your question but would need more information. |

| I've gotten better by following instructions in "Taking Control of TMJ" by Robert O Uppgaard, and through work with a great dentist. Muscles in spasm can cause your bite to feel like it's "off," like your teeth don't fit together properly, and can cause everything from dental sensitivity to cold, heat, and pressure, to facial pain and migraine headaches. I've been going through this for over six months. Finally got a TMJ splint from the dentist and it's helped enormously (although I probably shouldn't admit that here!). In any case, it can be muscular. Please look into your issues w/a good dentist before going after your teeth. I had one root canal and was about to go after my other teeth, when my dentist slowed me down; did a comprehensive exam and showed me how many muscle groups were connected to my jaw, throat and tongue and were also tense and in spasm. So can it be TMS? Yes. |

| are you grinding at night? any recent dental work. its probably muscular in nature, I also have tmj issues. |
