Hey RSR! Wondered how things were going with you and Solution training. I think they start you out in W4J book first now? It's a great program for sure. I remember being a chronic overthinker a few years back and am so glad to be past that. Amazing how our brains can actually change. And knowing how to cycle-style write was how I feel I was helped greatly in recovering from being bedridden in pain. I still use it a few times a week for stuff that occurs to me or comes up in everyday life. Best wishes!! -Lori PS love Canada; was in Toronto a few weeks ago. You can contact me privately if you'd like more info about my and others' life-changing experiences with Sol.

Hi Lori,
I meant to post on one of the other threads to say I really owe you a debt of gratitude for keeping on mentioning the Solution Method, over the months. WAY back last year I looked into it, and it just didn't speak to me, then. I bookmarked the site but left it at that. I kept reading your posts though, and some time later, went back to have another look. I finally signed up for the free e-course last fall, just to learn a little more ... but I had mixed feelings about it. Part of it really spoke to me, and part of it REALLY didn't. But by that time I had already reserved some of Laurel Mellin's books / audio from the library so I took it another step and had a listen. THEN I understood! :o)
The more I read, the more I listened, the more I understood and the more I started experimenting with the ideas from the books. I had already LIVED what Laurel Mellin was talking about ... no matter how much stress I removed from my life, I knew that really, the stress was INSIDE and I just carried it around with me! And I also KNEW it was "in my wiring;" I have been involved with "neuroplasticity" for years, etc etc etc... so she was just confirming what I already knew to be true for me. :o)
And just the idea of "crossed wires" ! *LIFE-CHANGING!* For others reading this, a crossed wire is something like: "I am TENSE/STRESSED --> I need a COOKIE." An uncrossed wire is more like: "I am TENSE --> I need to RELAX." My life was filled with crossed wires !!
Yes, the first step now for those who want to do the whole training (which I plan to do!) is to start with Wired for Joy. I think this newer material IS better and an improvement over what was in the (older) books (the ones I got from the library). It is going well for me ... challenging, but helpful.
I am grateful for ... your continuing to mention the Solution Method in your posts and how that method of journaling helped you!! :o)
I am very interested in your experiences and will send you an email. THANKS! |

RSR: I'm so very happy you're enjoying it. I definitely recommend the 5 day email program to get an overview of the program. I had first learned of it from an article in Health magazine, knew it made sense and was for me, but didn't start any groups until 9 months later. Guess I needed to be ready. And what a journey it's been.
You may recall I've said it's important to always end journaling on a positive note (ER). Which I learned from Sol. of course, in a coaching session actually. Had gone through a cycle (Journaling to most other readers of this post) about something and could not come up with an earned reward (ER=the positive note). Coach said how about "I am ready to heal this hurt". YES!! How perfect. And grateful I know how to heal it! That has been handy for much other journaling.
I was in a Solution group at the time of my debilitating TMS episode in late 2006, and the provider heard me go from being in agony to back to normal. She enjoyed hearing about the whole TMS and journaling aspect, said my recovery was truly miraculous, and to pls let Laurel know of my experience. I did, she then bought TDM for more info. I do hope someday she includes in the kits information about how emotional healing=physical healing.
I've found I continued on the journey; it didn't end when I finished kit 6. I do occasionally look at the kits or play the CDs just to refresh on little tidbits I may have forgotten. Life is great!
All the best, Lori
