Ha ha - I think I'll write a book called The Law of Distraction.

This thread is for those of us who have been helped by Sarno's distraction theory. I just posted on Hillbilly's thread that it is the only part of this whole deal that was new to me - I had been doing everything else: attending to my suppressed emotions, changing beliefs for decades, etc.

Oh, it's just a distraction! was the realization that stopped my symptoms in their tracks a year or two ago.

Any other takers?

xx

Love is the answer, whatever the question

I find the description of the theory of distraction hard to relate to (perhaps it doesn't fit in with my analytical, logical, "unemotional" part of my mind)... but, yes, it definitely works for me.
