Art,

Good try with your patronizing tone, to get me riled, but I'm not taking the bait today.

I notice that TT was not the one who had the "angry tone" in lots of the heated debates had on this board.

You also forget how much he helped out the newbies.

Beth

Not trying to get you riled in the least. You're actually the one who sounds angry here..And what makes you think I've forgotten that TT helped lots of newcomers? I've made that very point myself more than once...He also chased more than a few away..YOu tend not to respond to substantives..If you disagree on the merits of what I've said then by all means go ahead..

Failing that, I'm done with this topic. I've forgotten (in the peaceful interlude that followed TT's departure) how easy it is to get people all riled up, even when you're not trying...Way too stressful..And for some reason, it never fails to take me by surprise.

Redsandro, thanks for bringing up the archives. I read that one of TT's. I hadn't heard that before. I personally, feel NSAID's are very serious, and am constantly quoted the statistic that 250 people die every DAY from PROPERLY perscribed NSAIDS.

The equivalent of a 747 going down every day.

It just goes to show you we have a lot to learn from people's experience, and it was really candid of TT to share that extremely personal incident just to try to "learn us."

Art, I didn't call 2/3 of the board thin skinned, you did. I merely said TT was a positive contributor to this board to all but the thin skinned. The 2/3 statistic is completely MADE UP by you.

Remember, TT's supporters are silent because they don't want to draw all the fire of people like you and Alexis and a couple of others.

I guarantee you most people think TT brought more humor, entertainment and information to this board than you OR I did.

And to call TMS'ers thin skinned is to call a rainy day wet. If we weren't thin skinned, we wouldn't suffer.

Along those lines, I'd like to send out a general thank you to ShawnSmith, who has brought a LOT of interesting sites and clips to this board.

I was hoping you wouldn't reply, so I wouldn't feel the need to reply...I promise though...This is it...Cross my heart..NO matter what illogical or untrue things you say next

YOu actually do argue a lot like TT. Of course that 2/3 was made up by me..Of course I made it up. I said I was making an estimate in my post...You said that TT was missed by all, except for "the incredibly thin skinned"...

I went on to make the reasonable estimate that perhaps 2-3 of the forum member do not miss TT...Therefore, assuming my guess is correct of course, which it may or may not be, you are (it logically follows)calling 2/3 of the board, "incredibly thin skinned"

If 3/4 of the members do not miss TT, then you are calling 3/4 of the members incredibly thin skinned...

But you have to make up your mind. Either "incredibly thin skinned" is a bad thing and leads members thus afflicted to not miss a member who should be missed, or it's something we all are, simply by virtue of being TMS'ers, and it has no bearing on how people feel about certain other members departures...

All that said, I do concede that I am a bit thin skinned, hence this reply...though certainly not incredibly so...

Art, You're so funny.

I'm sure your next response will ABSOLUTELY be the last one !!!

I would like to say that besides his entertaining qualities, TT did help us to see when we were taking ourselves, or comments others made on this board too seriously.

I miss that, too.

I dare say TT is missed more than the people who he supposedly "drove off".

Regards,

Beth

Beth,

I am one of those that miss TT's advice, etc. on the board even though I did not get to know him because I've been lurking on the board mostly this past year. Forunately, he has not completely dissappeared from helping TMS'ers he just jumped over to the TarPitYoga message board.

Can't we just let this topic fade away into oblivion?

Please, no more replies...
