I was just wondering if those on this forum who have beat their back pain or RSI - or whatever was their form of TMS. Do you still get different symptoms pop up?
Since beating my Sciatica - (it flares up very occasionally now)symptoms pop up all the time. My skin broke out a few days ago and I still get constipation. I know that both of these are TMS equivalents. I occasionally get headaches.
I wonder if this will continue for a long time - maybe forever?

I beat my original pelvic pain with just the occassional flare up but I also find that some symptom is always popping up. I don't always associate it with TMS right away until I notice that it is suddenly gone when a new pain crops up. For instance, I had insomnia for several months and just thought it was a hormone problem but it went away at the same time that my current bout of butt, hip pain started so now I realize it was TMS.

Some symptoms are more troubling that others but I have started to wonder if I will always have some form of 'active' TMS.

Suz,

Sure I get different symptoms popping up. Dr. Sarno mention this as something that happens after patients leave his program, so I think it's pretty common after recovery.

One example for me is sinus infections. I don't ever remember getting one until about four years ago. That was after my recovery from fibromyalgia. Now, I seem to get two or three sinus infections a year. I'm getting over one right now. Oh, well. It's a lot easier to take than fibromyalgia!
