Iīve read Healing back pain and half of the midbody connection. In the last couple of weeks Iīve really been trying to convince myself that my pain is due to repressed emotions and that thereīs really nothing wrong with me. I am really certain that these issues Iīve been suffering from are due to emotions and my mind, Iīm just not getting the result I want. Of course I understand that it might take a while. I was at the movies about a week ago and as usual started to have pain, I started talking to my mind and the pain diminished. The next day I felt alot better and really felt that this is something that can be cured. But after a couple of days it all got back to normal with the usual waxing and waning of chronic pelvic pain, upper back pain and joint pain. My biggest issue and what started it all is the cpps and the sexual difficulties that came with it. This is my biggest concern and I think about ot alot and itīs so hard not to. Everytime I hear the word sex my own issues start dwelling in my mind and I know i must start to ignore it and just think thatīs itīs due to TMS or an eqivalent to it. I am really certain that my problems are caused by my mind but itīs so hard not to obsess over the pain although Iīm getting better not to. I really fit in on most of the characteristics and I have muscular pain in outer gluteus, mid back and upper trapezius muscles which Sarno stated that all TMS patients have. The only downside so far in sarnos books is the treatment sections, I really need like a step by step plan or something and have therefore ordered Fred Amirs book. Everytime I have pain I start to think about what actually might be bothering me, I have a history of depression but no drugs have helped. I know that I have a low self-esteem and get anxious really easy. I just canīt put the finger on what might be causing it all. Well anyways my question is how did you guys overcome your chronic pain. I know many just accepted the cause and started doing all the things you did while pain-free etc etc. But did you have like certain strategies that helped more or less, like talking to your brain, going through everyday before you go to sleep, professional help maybe? Any help is very much appreciated.

I know itīs good to challenge the pain by resuming all activities you did prior to the pain. In my case though I donīt know how to do that. I have some problems with my back and knees while running but the only thing that terrifies me and has changed my life is the lack of wanting to have sex due to pain, PE and ED. Itīs quite hard to "challenge" this since my girlfriend and I recently broke up much because of our lack of any sexlife. I do ignore the fact that sitting makes it worse and I sit where and whenever I want to as well as bicycling and all that stuff which most CPPS sufferers try to avoid.

How many times have you read Healing Back Pain? Dr. Sarno talks about the need to read his book(s) repeatedly. I know that was important to my recovery.
