Hello I am still fighting TMS and learning more and more about the sneaky Un conscious mind. I am on the right track and seeing a TMS educated Therapist here in the Dallas area. I have been dealing with this pain episode since early OCT. Now, I was not on the correct track at first and had a set back with the physical approach. MRI, CAT scan, back specialst, Chiro. Well I am cancer free and have nothing but a herniated disc l4,l5 area. The last time I had an MRI was in 1990 and the same disc was considered a bulge at that time. Anyway I am staying on the right track and doing the work and trying to be patient. I just was wondeering if anyone has ever had any experience with muscle atraphe and TMS. Most of my pain is in the left buttocks and I have been bent over to the left side for 3 months. I noticed that after the epideral injection I got back in OCT. that I losy considerable muscle tone in my left leg, calf, and buttocks. I also had not been walking much or doing anything during that time.Since I have returned to work and I try and ignore t he pain and treat it just as a symptom of TMS while I am working on the cure. I still have the weak and atraphe muscles in my left leg and buttocks and was wondering if anyone else has ever had any experience with this.

I don't have this experience but I would be really interested to know what is going on in your life. Certainly ilness, for example, can be a TMS generator. You are reminded, possibly for the first time, of your mortality and this become enraging. |

After a car accident and a huge emotional hit, I had burning and tingling in my legs and butt for about two weeks. Did you have any other symptoms? Like sore lymph nodes? |

I had atrophied horribly after a year and a half of limping and walking with a cane...My left calf had become a stick.I have a photo of it somewhere, from Xmas of '98 and it's pretty gross.
It was absolutely NO hindrance in my complete recovery...the pain was gone LONG before the calf muscle came close to the size of the other...in fact,I haven't looked, but it still might be a little behind,7 years later,,,I skateboard, and I push with the right.

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you'll have to catch up. |
