my friend has suffered with many of TMS symptoms. her latest casualty was while playing tennis she felt a pain in her elbow which now is bruising. during the week this happened her parents were in a nursing home in Florida and she couldn;t get in touch with them. her stress level is very high since she is always worrying about them. could the pain from this tennis injury be another TMS episode?
My 2nd major TMS episode originated from the elbow. I researched tennis elbow, golfer's elbow; the PT people said thoracic outlet syndrome, the 1st ortho. dr after 2 minutes said tennis elbow. After several months of PT while reading Dr. Sarno's work in earnest, I finally met with a TMS Dr. who agreed it was TMS. I take motrin when it's painful but otherwise I ignore it and just keep going. This has been a year now, and I'm so much happier without the fear that it is/was a major injury that I was exacerbating with additional activity... Cheryl
I got it last Jan. from doing excercises that my physical therapist gave me!! It was prety painful and I never used it trying to make it heal. Then after reading Sarno, I decided it was just a TMS symptom and proceeded to go out and hit golf balls with it, it got better right after I started using it again. Now it's almost gone! I didn't have any brusing though.
