Hi guys and gals, I didnt die or drop off the face of the earth. the fact that I've been quiet lately on this board is a feature of doing pretty good (no news is good news).
I was wondering if anyone has heard of mycoplasm(a)s? I did some net research after a pharmacist told me about a plague of mycoplasm-induced respiratory problems up here in Seattle. Seem to be associated often, interestingly, w/ cases of CFS and FMS. My own symptoms have been off and on tickle in the throat and mild cough, and slight rundown feeling, this past year or so. Having run the gamut of tests (no allergies, took a host of antibiotics, no change, etc) I was about to conclude it a new feature of TMS. (Since TMS cant seem to keep me down any other way these days) but the mycoplasm thing got me interested. Any feedback from any of you?
I have symptoms more when I eat sugar, when I am tired or stressed, and they are both mild and chronic -- just an annoyance.
On another note, I got over most of my big TMS symptoms in 2004 (upper body pain being the big one), but still had a lot of trouble w/ sensitivity to clothing. I did some research this summer on Mickel Reverse therapy, which jived w/ me, and decided I needed to readjust my hypothalamus, basically, in its perception of clothing. It was really scary to just start wearing whatever again, but I kept thinking of it as just a little technical tuneup/readjustment and it's worked pretty well so far. I just had to take it head on, stop avoiding the less comfortable clothes, and just wear them, and let my brain readjust. But it may have only worked because of the philosophy I had in mind about what was going on physiologically regarding this sensitivity.
See you later!

I have read a bit about mycoplasma, a bacterial infection, on Dr.Mirkin's site, www.drmirkin.com . You could also try: www.thelancet.com They seem to publish a lot of reports from Europe and Japan, that you don't fine here. |
