There is another phenomena in the TMS-pain, about them I didn't hear or read almost nothing – a dependancy of the pain on the weather. I am sure some other pain sufferer can register as I do, that before or during the bad weather time (low air pressure, precipitations or sultry weather) the pain is quite stronger than on sunny and dry days. May we conclude – according to Dr.Sarno – that this is programmed from the unconscious mind too ?
It will be interesting to know about similar experiences.

You're really catching on, Milos. It is in fact a conditioned response.

Your brain has a very accurate barometer. It will sense the changes in atmospheric pressure and give you symptoms when you expect them. It is all part of making the distraction as convincing as possible. If the symptoms change with the weather, it is easy to believe that the weather actually has something to do with it.

I used to believe that the weather had something to do with the amount of pain I felt. But then as soon as I started to get better after hearing about the TMS approach, I noticed that the weather had nothing to do with how I felt.

Actually, even when I used to believe that the weather had something to do with it, it wouldn't get me everytime. That used to puzzle me, but not any more.
