Hi, all -
Just wanted to share yet another Sarno success story. I have a friend whose husband has been suffering from excruciating back pain. I was on the phone with her last weekend and she mentioned that her husband was "laying flat" and couldn't get up due to the pain in his back. She began to tell me about how he was going to see his chiropractor the next day and I asked who it was he was seeing. She told me the guy's name and it was the same guy I saw just prior to realizing I had TMS. The name of his office is "White Light Chiropractic" which should have been my first clue when I went there. I was desperate to relieve myself from my dizziness, headaches, and back and neck pain so I had gone there with an open mind. This guy did all sorts of expensive x-rays on me and the treatment reminded me of a torture chamber. He had this tool that was like something you'd use at a construction site. It pounded all over my back, making me feel like my teeth were rattling out of my head. He told me I was a "special case" and would need to see him indefinitely, three times per week. After the second visit, I knew this guy was a "quackopractor" and I ran out the door.
Anyway, my friend tells me that her husband sees this guy all the time and that "it's expensive because he wants you to buy a series of appointments." I told her "You need to erase that guy's phone number from your phone book and never see him again. Instead, get in your car and go to the book store and purchase two books; Mindbody Prescription and Healing Back Pain, both by John Sarno, M.D. Have your husband read them. This will save you a ton of money and it will change his life."
Last night (one week later) this couple came running up to me at our community Passover seder. I had forgotten the whole incident until she said "I wanted to thank you for recommending those books. I went right out and bought them and he started reading as soon as I got them home. By that evening, he was dancing around like nothing had ever happened to him. It was a miracle!" It was no miracle. It was the genius of Dr. Sarno. My friend said "I'm going to start reading those books for myself to help with my own problems." Sounds like she is a "goodist" too. It's too bad we can't share this information with all the other patients but then, that chiropractor would be out of business!
I love when stuff like this happens. When you give someone some helpful advice and they actually take your suggestion and IT WORKS!!!

If I were a religious person I would equate my discovery of Dr. Sarno and his work as a religious experience.
But, since I'm not, lets just say the good Dr. is a gentleman and a scholar, someone ahead of his time.
Thanks Dr. S.

Laura, I celebrate with you. There is a great joy to be able to make a difference and to help others obtain a level of physical healing.
Stryder their actually is a greater JOY, to use your gifts and help one find a long awaited level of spiritual heeling.
The metal part will always work it self out in both cases
May I say that the fruit or our work is always the best part of serving, but we must all learn to just plant seeds too. Someone else might come along water the ripened soil.
Just wanted to share what I had just learned about the many ways to obtain healing. I do believe we can apply this in the TMS model
Miracles = always happen spontaneously
Recovery = is a process.
Value of Life and Your body = is to be considered sacred ( watch what you put into it.)
Of course all three of these can be at work to obtain a full measure of recovery.
Thanks Kenny V

Great story. I'm about 90% better. Maybe one of these days I'll be 100% better.
Actually, my number one trouble spot from over the years hasn't bugged me since January. But I still get some tighteness in various areas of my pelvic area during various times of the day. I hardly ever feel pain.
I'll say this. I used to get up in the morning (day after day) after only 2-4 hours of sleep with a depressed feeling because I would be wondering how much pain I would have during the day. Now I get up in the morning with the amount of sleep I need and without a depressed feeling, because I don't expect to have pain during the day. |

Good stuff Albert stay on that positive mindset, that is always a direction closer to full recovery. Don’t let any one tell ya any different. And yes that pain can hold you there for a long time, what a viscous cycle it is.
Ladies, my heart cries everyday, not for me anymore but for all the parents of children who the mainstream medical community has sold them that there is no hope for recovery. This they say with most if not all health conditions or disability that you can only go so far. Same thing happens in the education systems and I must say that this is a pure form of Programming.
On top of it all they continually sell them to the notion that drugs can help only complicating the issues further. Now we live in a world that has had money massacred and dictate the outcome of ones health and well being, yet as Sarno so well puts it
"The most important factor in recovery is that the person must be made aware of what is going on...information...is the 'penicillin' for this disorder."
------ Healing Back Pain by John E. Sarno, M.D.
“My heart cries out”
Just yesterday, I met a dad at my daughters’ softball field who had unnecessary surgery that failed. And to make matters worse he lost his left arm, is on disability, and now lives a life in regret. After sharing with him and listening to his condition in what THEY TOLD HIM HE HAD. He even came to the conclusion that is was all stress induced. On top of it all he is on two bad drugs that are doing nothing other than making him numb to life.
At least I had the opportunity to share with him, have empathy what had happened and offer some hope.
Because there is always hope we just need to hear that there is.
We talked about the mainstream medical community and he admitted how he didn’t need these drugs to feel better. So who knows what path he might take to feel better , but at least he was exposed , so he can make an informed choice.

I don’t know someone might have mentioned this in another post, but I thought this is worth sharing.
Funny thing I never read magazines but just today I went to get water at the water cooler and a people magazine caught my eye, not that Paula Abdul’s picture was on the cover but what the article was about. Paula Abdul’s 12 failed surgeries, which lead to a diagnosis of Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. Which in the article reads is a nervous system malfunction. But also they say they’re not sure why.
What is reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy? The article goes on to explain we really don’t know but this is what we do to treat it. Yup I am sure all the money in the world has finally helped her get a proper diagnosis after 12 failed surgeries.
If you are wondering why I am saying this is because after being exposed to the MSM communities thinking treating symptoms not the underlying condition. Hmm sound familiar? Just like may other syndromes with names attached to them, and of course Dr Sarno gave his a name, but also at least a reasonable explanation.
I have a good example as it related to my son and what the mainstream medical community doesn’t know, nor fess up to what is causing it.
After understanding much of what is the cause as well as the symptoms of autism are, I had learned how to treat my son properly and effectively. As we have implemented a proper protocol in treating my son, he stated to loose his symptoms. So it became clear to me that his immune system is being repaired. Therefor one that is out of balance or a hyper sensitive immune response will exhibit the symptoms in the same way. If it is involving the auto immune system as well as the central nervous system then you can also say it automatically controlled by the brain.
Like Dr Sarno said "The most important factor in recovery is that the person must be made aware of what is going on...information...is the 'penicillin' for this disorder."
Another great physician that I know personally said, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Allot of these syndromes are because, they are lost in a repetitive viscous cycle, and are held imprisoned by there condition, chasing symptoms rather than the underlying condition.
This is three -fold, because the mainstream medical community are not schooled in general nutrition. The treatment options are continual treating symptoms; they don’t take enough time to find out your personal makeup. Most of all they do not address the body altogether as physical/ emotional as well as the spiritual makeup.
When have you ever gone to the doctor who looked at you this way?
So IMO the biggest problem is the withheld information in all three areas, and we must consider that These components are all important in the treatment of the human body.
Rem: that Information is free, truth is discovered, you just need to be exposed to it. There is always Hope for Recovery. Thanks Kenny V

Hi, everyone,
Just wanted to share that the guy I talked about on this thread came upto me last night at our weekly Shabbat service and hugged me. He said "I just want to thank you personally for recommending those books to me. I read the first book and within 24 hours all my back pain was gone, completely. It hasn't come back! I think in my mind I've known this all along but I never faced it or dealt with it. Thank you so much!" I am so happy he took my advice and I'm so happy it happened for him so quickly. I know that many others of us are struggling and it's not an overnight process. For him, it was. I'm still going to keep plugging away. I've taken out MBP and I'm starting it all over for about the 4th time. If I have to read it 104 times until I finally "get it" then that's what I will do!
