I continue to need advice While I can see an improvement...I'm still not pain free. I attribute this to the fact that I really haven't been working through the process the way I should. My question is... I recently went to a mall and after walking around for about three hours I was exhausted...I was not in pain...more like discomfort...but I wasn't sure I could make it back to the car. I seemed to have no stamina. Is that also part of TMS...or do I lack stamina because I haven't been as active. I have noticed this problem before. Any ideas ?

"...after walking around for about three hours I was exhausted."
Who wouldn't be? (well, maybe a mail carrier or a marine) I haven't been able to do that since I was a teenager.

Hi Jackie..
That is a relative question...TMS can be manifested as a fatigue like symptom....you know, they've made that an illness now,"Chronic fatigue".
But,you didn't mention how long you've been inactive.
I HATE malls because they are symbolic to me of the overconsumptive, buy, buy, buy until you're happy, prozac yourself into reality mindset of modern post-corporate mindcontrol America.
I get tired after about 5 minutes in a mall ,though I can walk thru a park for hours on end.
Try the park...much more anti-TMS
peace

I agree with Baseball...malls are evil, soul-less places with bad lighting and even worse energy. I was at a mall the other day and I felt over stimulated and fatigued within 10 minutes by the whole in-your-face vibe of the place, and all the people just seemed lifeless and angry. And how many cell phone kiosks can you jam into one mall? A lot. Anyway, yes...TMS can make you feel like you've been up for several weeks and have no energy. Don't worry about it too much.

Hi Jackie,
3 hours is a long time, even if you were walking at 1/2 the normal rate, that would be about 5 miles. I'd be tired too.
When I was at my worst consumed by TMS, I was indeed totally exhausted all the time just fighting the pain. So, yes, fatigue can be a big part of it.
BB65 asks a good question, what level of exercise are you used to regardless of TMS?
Take care, Stryder |

Thank you all for your support The reason for my concern is that even though I was never one to exercise much...I always could walk without getting tired...but that was prior to TMS...about 8 years ago...so maybe that has something to do with it also. I agree, the constant pain wears me out too.
Baseball65/Moose1...when I read your responses...I chuckled...I'm not soulless...I had a legitimate reason for being there. My husband won't go to the mall...so I bite the bullet and go when he needs something.
