Been up and down with TMS for years - mostly successful since meeting with Sarno years ago - used one of his therapists for a period but have always had to stay vigilant.
Recently began having ankle joint pain. Since I once had surgery to remove a bone chip in that ankle 20 years ago I took the precaution to have my ortho look at it
Of course the ankle and bones are are fine but he showed me some arthritis in the joint blamed it on the 20 year old surgery even though I am very active person gym 5x a week - hiking biking swimming - he then gave me the classic "take it easy" line and a cortisone injection to calm it down. It made it worse and I knew in the back of my mind I shouldn't have even gone to his office I've been re-reading my old stuff and this site to get back on track. TMS is powerful if you let your guard down as other stuff in my life is fairly tumultuous right now.
