Haven't posted in a while... mainly because I have been feeling really good and strong but...I do still get the occasional "flare up" or "reminder" that I am suppressing an emotion.

Well, after experiencing nearly every equivalent known to man, I have been realizing lately that i will get an itch and when I go to scratch it, there was no itch there to begin with/there is no relief to be had from scratching.

Sounds ridiculous, yes-but its INCREDIBLY annoying and ...attention diverting. Its been getting worse and worse over the past to weeks so I decided to start ignoring it (which is not easy when you have an itch!)and although its not painful per se, interestingly I find it just as effective as any of my old pains.

No real reason for posting this, just thought it was interesting and wanted to share with you all.

Interesting indeed. Is it in a place where u can perhaps rub something on like Tiger balm or a mentholated cream & forget about? They r usually good for minor itches.

Oh and have u posted yr success story yet? Would help a lot of people here.

Itching and passing gas are two TMS equivalents not typically recoginzed.

Isn't itching the firing of pain receptors in the skin? It is a form of pain therefore. Correct me if I am wrong..

My father is suffering from it and I am pretty sure, based on the things I know about him and when it set off, that it is TMS in his case. If only I could convince him about it.

Hi Mala-

I think that "treating" the problem pretty much goes against what I have learned about TMS.
I find that ignoring it works best, although it is not easy.
Especially when you arent sure if it is a "fake", psychologically driven itch or an actual itch!

Its enough to drive me mad...

Good to know, Ace. It will be good to have another excuse for my wife when she complains about my propensity for the latter.

"I'm sorry honey. I know it's really bad, but I had a tough childhood."

I have a feeling that is not going to fly but -- nothing ventured nothing gained.

Didn't know flatulence could be a TMS issue, but why not?

Excerpted from Racer's eft link:

"Your EFT Setup Phrase

Your Reminder Phrase

Even though it’s wrong to break wind in public, I can’t help it, I deeply and completely accept myself.

It’s wrong to break wind

Even though this gas problem reminds me of getting in trouble for farting when I was a kid, I deeply and completely accept myself.

I got in trouble for farting

Even though I have to hold everything inside, even if it hurts and that reminds me of my life, I deeply and completely accept myself.

I hold everything inside

Even though it isn’t safe to let go, I deeply and completely accept myself.

It isn’t safe to let go

Even though I am afraid of messing myself if I break wind, I deeply and completely accept myself.

Afraid of messing myself"
