Sorry for bogging you all down with questions- I'm fairly new to TMS and I have no one else to answer my questions! During my years as a constant pain sufferer I went to several chiropractors and they all noticed my unaligned hips- one was higher than the other. I also went to a gait specialist and my gait was completely messed up. My question is this: is unaligned hips just a part of our bodies; much like disc degeneration with old age is? Is this something I need to worry about? Throughout my times with chiropractors I didn't see any results with back alignments, but my right hip(the side where my symptoms are) always pops and it doesn't show sensation when stretching it. Is this just a part of TMS? Are unaligned hips normal and nothing to worry about, or is that a problem unrelated to TMS that actually needs to be treated. I ask because I'm applying all my knowledge of tms, seeing a tms specialist, journaling, and not seeing many results yet. Anyone else have unalignment issues that TMS work was able to help with? Any advice helps! |

Unaligned hips are normal and do not cause TMS. Tension may pull them one way or another, but the pain doesn't come from this alignment. Any focus on the alignment makes TMS stay longer.
Spinal adjustments do not work and are unnecessary but may have temporary placebo effects, further confusing the person.
No results at all yet? It could be because you still have physical doubts, they mist be eliminated or the symptoms will continue.

Thank you SteveO, that was the reassurance I was looking for. I try telling myself every day that nothing is structurally wrong with myself, but I think the lack of symptom relief is making me question TMS. I will just keep affirming myself of TMS. |

Rest easy, doubt is part of the TMS process. Everyone doubts at first, belief strengthens over time.
Symptom relief comes as you gain more confidence. If a TMS doc said you have TMS you're doing great. Keep up the faith. Relax any healing time-frame, just live and allow it, and don't try to heal. Just slow your worries and begin to let go of old images and go become active.

Steve is very right KM, don't believe your chiropractor. They would blame all your pain on your body's minor imperfections. I once volunteer to help care for people who were born deform due to agent orange in Vietnam. Their bodies were deform in all imaginable way. Legs of different size. Spines curved in very unnatural way. They don't walk, they limped around or dragged their bodies around in ways that look very uncomfortable, and yet, they don't have back pain, leg pain, or body pain. Your body is fine, don't blame it for your pain, blame your mind, blame your thoughts instead.
