This seems to be a new thing, adding to my current, fluctuating chronic fatigue. I have a dizzy spell almost every day now, usually in the morning.(Feels like head is swimming) I had 3 bouts of vertigo, my most recent one was bad enough I got quite nauseas and ended up puking in the kitchen sink. :( I tried an OTC for the nausea, (when I thought another bout was on the way) but it made me way too drowsy to function normally. The pharmacy tech heard many people recently asking for the same thing, for the same reason. I also have ringing in my ears, and frequent "plugging up" of my middle ears- affecting my hearing as well. Anyone else having similar problems?

I went through bouts of dizziness and vertigo off and on for years. They eventually went away but were quite scary. The vertigo in particular was alarming and would hit me very suddenly, mostly while I was doing yoga. I continue to practice yoga but no longer have the vertigo. I believe it was TMS because other symptoms swooped in after the dizziness and vertigo moved on.

Hi DJ,
I took a quick look at your bio and your childhood background has probably laid the foundation for TMS (as with the majority of the folks on the planet I might add). Your current tension creating life situation most likely has created your current TMS symptom (assuming you have been given the structural AOK by a competent med pro).
Having been around the forum for quite a stretch, I have seen the vertigo/dizzyness symptom come up umpteen times. Have you tried the "search" feature in the upper right corner, on the top of this page? I would start there if you want to do some research.
On the other hand if you are here for what SteveO calls "tracordification", to make the TMS connection with like-minded TMS'ers, that's also a good reason to post here. I read an old post of yours about phantom smelling of smoke; what was the outcome of that TMS episode? I believe someone laid a powerful TMS creating NOCEBO on you, saying it could be evidence of a brain tumor. I'm assuming that dire circumstance didn't come to fruition and hopefully your current symptom, "the dizzys", is TMS and not structural.
I'll check my sig box for you, so you can find some useful links and contacts for TMS docs and therapists.
edit: I just reread your post and you said it comes in the morning and goes away. That sounds like a TMS conditioned response to maybe not wanting to get up, and face whatever another gloomy day has in store for you. If it were structural, I think you would feel vertigo all the time. Have you been checked out by a doc? Even if it's TMS they could prescribe an RX for symptomatic relief until you can do your TMS work to balance your RAGE/SOOTHE RATIO. Your CHRONIC FATIGUE is also most likey a TMS symptom, given your life situation, according to the Rahe/HOLMES list.
G'luck
