Well, I have a new symptom and possibly a look into what is really going on with me. Chronic low back pain for over a year with no significant finding on MRI.
Over the last 10 years i have also had unexplained bouts of dizziness that doctors and even a specialist could not diagnose. These dizzy attacks would come during times of stress then usually just disappear after a while.
Now 3 weeks ago i just finished Fred Amir's book then dove straight into Steve O's amazing book. My chronic pain that was probably a 6/10 pain level non stop out of nowhere dropped to about a 3....It was like the pain was there in the backround but not on the forefront of my mind like usual.
I jumped straight into activity and surfing and got to really enjoy the autumn swells we have hit our east coast each year. Amazingly this seemed to not increase my pain (which i thought it might) and back pain wise im having some good relief.
Now 7 days ago i moved house and started the big move at 5am. By around 4pm i was 90% through setting up the new place so i decided to celebrate with a couple beers as we have bought the place.
After just 2 beers i was hit with a full bout of vertigo that has stayed with me for the last 7 days. Very similar to the old dizzy attacks but a little worse.. Really dizzy and lethargic and now after a week really starting to get fed up!
Now i realise buying a property and even moving itself can be very stressful.. And before the vertigo attack i was stressed and anxious, But i have tried to relax and acknowledge how i was feeling but still the dizzies remain.
I guess one positive is that by focusing on the vertigo it seems my low back pain has become a "backround" type pain as im to focused on the dizzy stuff. I feel like i have a kind of proof the back pain isnt structual now that it has decreased after just reading a book... Now i just have to shake this weird vertigo! |
