FYI, here's a copy of an email to me from SteveO:
-----------------------------------------------
"Hey if you could, (I'm still a recovering perfectionist and hate to see things undone), there was someone I was going to respond to that I saw you already had, and of course, you asked the right question of them. Something about an inner ear, and you asked if he or she saw a real ear doctor, and they said yes, and that the doctor said it was neuritis that causes nystagmus, that's bull****. I had severe nystagmus and have known many others and it was always TMS. Maybe you can find that person and tell him or her that nystagmus does not always come from inner ear damage. I think you were the last one who replied to her and I was going to tell her that her doctor was wrong in saying that to her. Although ear damage can certainly cause nystagmus, having nystagmus does NOT mean the inner ear is damaged. I was lucky here, I live about a mile away from one of the world's most renowned ear docs. He invented the first working mechanical inner ear, 22-piece moving part."

Thank you TennisTom for sharing SteveO's email with us all. Is he not posting directly now after the wee spat about people thinking he's only using this forum to promote his book? I really really appreciate his posts and really really want him to continue with them. I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of his book in my mailbox. |

Hi Tom,
It was I who inquired about the inner ear, nystagmus, etc.
Steve had a great reply (as did you) and I am sorry it was not there. I am also sorry that I no longer have a link to his book. Personally, I don't care if he was self-promoting it, it seems like a great book and Steve really knew what he was talking about. Ah well.
Please thank Steve for the thoughtful and caring message!
Thanks!
