"In order to change we must be sick and tired of being sick and tired. ~Author Unknown"

...that one summed it up for me perfectly.

Another one I love but don't know originally said it is:

"...don't go to doctors, they diagnose things"

Wake me up with your amphetamine blast
Take me by the collar and throw me out into the world
Rock me gently & send me dreaming of something tender

Thanks for those great quotes Balto! Looks like great thinkers have discovered the mindbody/psychosomatic illness relationship through the ages. I'm going to print those out, or maybe tatoo them to the back of my head.

The version found written on the wall in Mother Teresa's home for children in Calcutta:

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

-this version is credited to Mother Teresa

“You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened... or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the **** on.”
¯ Tupac Shakur

I think this would apply to tms/anxiety too.
