Yesterday, after work, I was putting out applications for the Y-Me Breast Cancer race here and I came out of a chiropractors office. An older man on a bicycle asked me if I felt better. It took me a moment to realize what he was referring to -- the chiropractor. I said, truthfully, that I am feeling better -- better than before TMS anyway.

He said he had back pain, sciatica for years, had had shots and adjustments and you-name-it. Another of the many walking wounded painfuls.

I asked him if he had tried everything, and he had, short of surgery, I guess. I then wrote out HBP and told him to try it.

This article below is interesting. Again, about chronic pain and it reaching epidemic.

Quote from article:

"As Dr. Sarno states 'we don't need to have a leap of faith, merely a leap of understanding'. Getting better occurs by understanding what TMS is all about and by acknowledging that TMS is the main cause of the pain."

End quote

Thanks for the article B2-I. "Knowledge penicillin" as the Good Doctor calls it. At first I thought the article was from the NY Times, then saw it was from a Canadian paper. TMS will not be considered legitimate and accepted by "modern medicine" until the NY Times (all the news that fits into print) extols it's virtues. Ironic, that the cure to the national health crisis, has been right under their noses all these years, at NYU Rusk, languishing in anonymity, considered a quack and treated like a pariah by his peers.
