Last night I dreamt I was playing the piano and in the dream felt the same hand pains I often feel when actually playing. The pain felt
quite real..

Same deal with a hamstring issue...Dreamt I was walking up the stairs and my hamstring began to ache...

In both case, when I woke up the pain disappeared, so it wasn't a case of creating a dream to match something real.

Seems clear that whatever the TMS mechanism is that creates pain also operates in my sleep. Anyone else?

I believe TMS is of course operational in sleep, as that is where there is some unleashing of the misbehaving subconscious.

Since all this came on I have had two types of dreams. Actually three.

The first type is that I know I am restricted because of pain, in my case the actual pain I feel when awake.

The second type of dream is where I am functioning completely without pain, and am surprised by how fluid and easy it all is again, and I'm thrilled that the pain is gone, like I knew it would be some day.

The third type has to do with the psychology of it all, and these dreams have increased since I've become involved with TMS. One of those dreams I had this morning: I spotted something in a fast moving stream, so I slid in the water to see what this shiny thing was. Turns out that it was a watch. Then there were more watches. Nice, expensive ones. I pulled them out and put them on the shore. I couldn't determine if they were working or not. Then I noticed how fast the stream was going while I was waist deep in it; then I pulled myself out. I then went to a near-by grocery store to get a bag to put the watches in.

I'm having increasing dreams of crossing bridges, pushing through closed doors (and the doors are always clear, so I can see through them).

Now, I wonder if I can find one of those nice expensive watches in reality?

NIce dream. I love dreaming for the most part. I can almost always find something metaphorically apt with respect to what's going on in my life at the time...
