I recently read When the Body Says No by Dr. Gabor Mate.

I learned of this book from this forum, but it has very few mentions. I really don't know why. It's focus it autoimmune diseases, but the way Dr. Mate explains how they originate is brilliant! It is simple and clear and can be applied to other TMS or TMS-influenced conditions.

I think everyone would benefit from reading this book.

Hi,

I'm reading When Body Says No now... Seems pretty relevant. What a coincidence. :)

Hi All,
Thanks for the recommendation.
When the Body Says NO is on it's way.
Looking forward to reading it and in the meantime have been reading Worried Sick, a Prescription for Health in an Overtreated America
by Nortin Hadler, M.D.
Recommended by Dr. Frank Murphy.
It's a good one.

Have not read it sounds interesting tho. I am not sure how the direction of this book goes
However Imo learning about the autoimmune system and applying it to Sarno's work may bring you further along the process of healing. Also how to understand how it works together with the TMS model.
I only mention this because it had helped me with recovery. I strongly believe those who may be stuck (only come so far), may have better clues to their condition and how the autoimmune system functions. Or for that matter goes doesn’t function correctly (goes haywire) when it’s out of balance.

Btw I have studied autoimmune diseases going on 10 years now. All I can say if you learn what causes them and the best way to treat them, you may discover many possibilities and connections to rule out when you apply the mind body connection.

Good topic more later
