 how often should you journal?

I am just curious how often people sit down to do their journaling? Do you have to do it every day? I find that I tend to do it for a few days and I notice I am feeling better so then I start skipping it (I know that feeling better should motivate me to keep doing it but somehow it does not) or else I will only do it if I feel like there is something bothering me near the surface. I remember that someone posted here that they finally kicked the last of their pain after spending a whole weekend journaling. I have wondered if by doing it only a couple of times a week if I may not be able to get past the things that are closer to the surface. Any insights?

When I began, I started feeling better. Then when the crisis/chaos hit Memorial Day weekend here, I stopped. Have barely any time to even sit for 5 minutes and relax, let alone write. My pain level increased dramatically after stopping my journaling and consistent reading. I think for some of us, journaling is pivitol in our recovery process. Once this crisis calms, I'm going right back to my journaling.

I'm curious, too, as to what others here feel about journaling. I do recall someone saying journaling was pivital to their recoverly. I think it was Windy. And Windy (If I'm right about who it was) said dhe was fully recovered and doing great now.

I have been doing the TMS since Nov of 03, eliminating all the possible triggers and all forms of conditioning as well as programmed response to the pain.
After working the Sarno TMS protocol call my pain was reduced to a 90% level.

What you have mentioned above about the pivotal point of recovery, uncovering all hidden rage and anger happened to me during the weekend in March 04.
I journaled the entire weekend, my wife went away on a retreat, I slept 12 hours during the entire weekend Journaling and making all the past connections of unresolved relationships. Through this process is when I made many discoveries of what was causing my pain and I was even able to trace it back to the original point in which I first started to experience pain over 20 years ago.
