I am so amused by this. I'm giggling like an idiot at my desk right now.

In the past month, I've had both my former chiropractor's office and former physical therapist's office call me and ask me to come back for a "free" evaluation. I politely said, "Thank you, but any issues I'm having won't be helped at all by your services." Looking back, I now remember that going to the PT's office actually made me feel worse because I was so pissed off that I had to be there in the first place.

I sincerely hope that they are losing business due to a spike in people realizing they have TMS. That's probably not the case, but I like to hope that it is.

thats funny

It reminds me of "Joe Delamelure" (sp?) he was a offensive lineman for o.j. simpson here in buffalo back in the day.

He's popular enough in the region to do radio and tv spots. Nice guy. Anyways, he recently did this commercial for the drx9000 decompression machine for a local outfit where they show him getting strapped in and worked on. And he talks about the relief he gets.

But here's the kicker, the thing I heard quoted from his lips to my/audience's ears

"I did'nt even know I had back pain until I tried out the drx9000, and now I have relief"

You gotta be kiddin me right!?!?!?!?!?!?

If he had no pain, who the hell convinced him to get on it?!?!?!?

I hope it was worth the endorsement fee for now having to get temporary relief continuously for something that never needed relief before in his life.

ugh. I remember telling the p/t years ago that I was trying another avenue for healing that does not involve p/t. They were fine with that but I hadn't been going there long for them to probe for more info.

Someone who sits near me at work had bad back pain last week and is going to chiro and p/t. Yet when I asked her if something happened that could suddenly be causing extra stress, the answer was an immediate "yes". But the list of "rules" she is quoting and others are telling her are so laughable. DO NOT: run (avid runner), lift weights, wear heels, lift anything, etc. You must take it easy now.Ridiculous. My back started hurting listening to all that crap! LOL

interesting that the CHIRO does p/t with her and told her it's probably a herniated disc. I told her I have one too. So she sees I'm not crippled. But it's the typical FEAR-based community taking her over with the "don'ts". Sad. I sent her the 20/20 Sarno clip but I don't think she watched it. So here I have to realize that I can't make others see their pain is emotion-induced as they're just not ready to receive the info.
