Hi I'm journaling, reading and doing yoga, but I have so many symptoms that seem to be mind/body I don't know how to attack them all. lower and upper back pain, chron's, excema, ringing in the ears, anxiety, depression, journaling is seemingly is making it worse. I guess I may be getting closer to the feelings, but I still have no Idea what else may be going on in my head. i've had remission of back pain in the past with sarno's work but actively working on it seems to make it worse instead of better, it was almost easier when I had some minor tms pain, but was able to keep it in check by letting it "sit" in one location any advice on how to manage all these multiple tms equivalents? |

hey i had like 6-8 different rotating disorders at the same time and i know what that can be like. you, like me, probably just have a bunch of repressed/misdirected emotions that need to be let out. check out the book "facing the fire," and also this website here might be able to help with that: http://www.redirectingselftherapy.com/

My back pain is 80% better, but I have raging GI issues and my right leg is numb as I type this. I know my TMS is fighting me. I've had it for almost 8 years, so I don't expect the bad habits to go away overnight, but it can be discouraging when something new pops up. I'm struggling with whether or not I should have my leg numbness checked out for any other cause, but I'm dealing with the GI issues right now and there are only so many doctor appointments I can make. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Monday, and I don't like my gastroenterologist. Could this be the reason for my leg numbness? Possibly.
Webdan's post about daily affirmations helped me tremendously. I repeated "I am now broken" in my head over and over and visualized myself doing things without pain. I've noticed a huge improvement in my back pain.
