Just want you to know that I bought my ticket to SanDiego yesterday! (And a nice dress for the party in La Jolla) And it is that kind of ticket that you can not return. The discussion on the board really helped me to make my decision. Thank you! If you guys came to Denmark we could all easily come together over a cup of coffe - none had to travel that far! But that is not so easily fixed in your country... Anyway - USA in now the "country of Sarno" for me.. though I know that there are a couple of other opinions....
Just alittle confidence booster..... The very first time I noticed my foot problem felt better was after a really fun Bat Mitzvah.(BIG Jewish party) I had done alot of dancing in shoes I wasn't too sure of etc. That next morning I told my husband that amazingly my toes never felt better! Fun seems to distract the brain also but in a great way! More Fun = Less symptoms. I am sure of it. I think our lives are lacking some plain old FUN!!!!!! A quote from the great Cheryl Crow "All I wanna do is have some fun, I have a feeling I'm not the only one"
Holly, Good point. As part of my healing I try to have more fun. For example I tape Seinfeld reruns and watch them before bed. Seems to help me sleep better. I got that idea from the Norman Cousins book. Plus I have noticed when I am with friends having a good time, most of my symptoms disappear. I think those of us with TMS tend to be a bit too serious. For me that came from some things in my childhood.
