It is Saturday I'm just catching the last 30 minutes of Larry King on CNN. This may be on again on Sunday as Larry King repeats on Sunday.
Focus is on quantum physics....but much of the discussion is on Change your Mind Change Your Life....
Very interesting discussion on how you can change your thoughts and change your body.
Also become the "observer" or "witness" ---meaning become aware of who you are being. has been stated a couple of times as a way to begin to effect change.
The experts on the show all agree that you can change....meaning you can change your thoughts and thus change your body or change your future....Pert made special mention that it is the past...and spending your thoughts in the past that continues to create your future or having past memories that need to bubble up to the surface.....she also mentioned that psychotherapy takes too long...
I also watched Larry King and immediately thought this would be a great place to discuss that episode. I find it interesting that Candace Pert is a Pharmacologist trained at Johns Hopkins (I believe she said) and how she confirms what many of us believe that anti-depressants are extremely overly prescribed by the medical community.
Has anyone read Pert's book "To Feel Good"? If so, please provide us with some feedback. I looked it up on Amazon.com and there was only one comment which was negative.
I read Candace Pert's Molecules of Emotion – that blew my mind. I'd always thought of the mindbody connection occurring through the nervous system – but her research showed that the molecules associated with emotion can be found in large no.s in other systems too.
Her newer book, Everything You Need to Know to Feel Go(o)d is very good too. She takes the scientific (and laboratory) angle on the mind/body connection. In fact she calls it the "bodymind".
Sorry I missed her on LK; will look for the clip on youtube. Her personal appearances are few and far between these days.
