I just wanted to post this for the doubting people out there. I think it was maybe two years ago that I heard of Sarno, and 18 months ago that my RSI was fully gone after 6 or 7 years.
I know about the (personally) slow rise and fall of RSI. Everything was slow, nothing instant, and I found anything instant hard to imagine.
Earlier this week, a week before I am going on a spontaneosly change-of-plans last minute vacation, I got instant severe upper back pain. Suddenly I sounded very much like my old man (60) when I (24) got up, yet I don't even recall the pain starting. It was there all of the sudden.
Yesterday I drove 4 hours in the backseet of a too small car that my friends bought to go on another vacation that I wanted to join but decided not to because of my wishes not to go a million miles in a crowded too small car. During that trip, no back problems! (not convenient either though.) No one but myself is to blame for the not-coming, because I made the decision and I was not saying for sure whether or not I would come, because I think them not agreeing with my choice of travel (train of plane) would piss me off (also incorporating the fact that not agreeing would make them unhappy about my thoughts) more than me not agreeing to theirs when arrangements were already made. Even so, I'm not sure what pisses me off more; them choosing car or the fact that the car was practically full already even if I did want to come.
Me shutting up, watching the cat come down, being pissed one way or the other, I think you can clearly see a school example of TMS here. I have no history of instant pain anyhow, so if I didn't experience this I wouldn't believe my story because it's almost stupid.
You see, it still surprises me. I couldn't get the pain away yet. But I'm quite sure it'll disappear once I begin on that trip because I'll be distracted by fun, not by pain.
You see, if it's instant there's probably nothing snapped in your back. I think you should only think twice if you was doing something crazy at the time, like lifting a fridge full of beer or playing flaming limbo.
____________ TMS is the hidden language of the soul. |
