I am confused. 2 days ago I played tennis which is something i used to do before I had all my back problems. I played fine for 2 hours and had no pain. The next day I wasa bit stiff in arm and tummy muscles. Totally appropriate but then my lower back started hurting and today it is so stiff I can't bend down . I have talked to my brain and journalled today but the pain isn't shifting. it has also made my headache worse which is a long term problem. I am thinking Did i overdo it going from no exercise to 2 hours quite intense exercise?
Also when I walk a lot or do a lot of exercise I get exhaustion and that makes my symptoms worse. Is exhaustion part of TMS or is that just part of being ill for so long? I have had continual pain for a very long time. In fact I can't remember ever not having pain in my life. if you have had long term pain does it take longer to recover?
I am writing pages and pages about my emotions and have released a lot of rage and sadness but still feel the same. I feel sad just writing this.I want to feel better but don't seem to be getting any improvement in my health

The fact that the pain onset was a few days later means this is the TMS gremlin trying to convince you -- it wouldn't have been the exercise itself because that would have started right after (like the mild soreness you had, which is normal, of course).

It might take a while for you to see success if you have had pain for a long time. It's important not to get too focused on how long it takes.

Hang in there. You gave your body a challenge and it's normal for the mind to act up the first few times you try that, but good for you for getting out there!
