I've sent you two e-mails about this. You mentioned in a posting on 10.23.07 that you could give out the name and number of a therapist you know who does phone consultations. I had no success with Sarno's therapist and am looking at other options.
Thanks in advance. |

Thanks, Hilary. But is it the same person? la kevin indicated that he could give the therapist's name and number to forum members, but only privately. I have seen Dr. Dubin name here many times. Why the privacy issue? Hmmm. |

Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner truenorth. I have been busy. To answer your question yes I can give my therapists name out privately. As far as the issue of why, well, this is the internet and many professionals don't wish to have their name plastered on forums. They could be harassed, I could be harassed. Stalkers and trolls come up with weird ideas and can make plenty of trouble for someone if they choose.
I thought it would be a good idea to let people know that there is help for them. I have spoken to my therapist about it and he agreed I could point people to him only in private(it was actually my idea). But I'm going to have to rethink that idea because he might not want the client list and it could backfire. Imagine if 20 or more people from here all called him or became his client. Then they have some sort of "problem" blame it on me for advising him, harass him, throw expectations on him, compare notes about him, gossip, etc.
I'm going to talk to him before I give out his info any further. There are a lot of red flags about this. I'll let you know. |

No. You might want to go with Don, try giving him a call. |

Thanks for the advice. I've heard nothing but good things about him from posters on this board. And he's about 1/2 the cost of the therapist Sarno recommended in Northern NJ. |
