I came across this while looking up TMS. I suggest reading at least the first part about sarno, The rest of it is quite long but interesting.

The first paragraph summarises parts of the books. Further down it's an interesting vision. However, ideas like
"the role of anger is Biblical and virtually ignored by the medical profession" make me sad.

Clearly I'm no christian, but I'm quite convinced TMS can exist quite separately from religion.

Apart from that, whatever emotion Sarno digs up, be it anger or be it sadness, it's ALL virtually ignored as a cause of a symptom in the medical profession.

Keep reading--you haven't even gotten to his statement that "Christianity is central to Health"

Actually I did, but that's such a radical thing to say it can't possibly be argued. At least the simpler assumptions leave room for pointing and arguing. The writings are draining my energy. But hey, if it works for people then lets cheer to that.
