I'm trying to refer people to TMS "successstories", and the thread isn't coming up for me. Am I spelling it wrong or what? : SUCCESSSTORIES

Thanks

Thanks Carbar. Dave, is there anyway to make "Successstories" easier to Search for? I tried spelling it everywhich way and couldn't get it to come-up without Carbar's accuarate spelling.

Thanks, I'll put it in the "suggestions" forum.

I've seen it a lot in other forums. Stickies o.o;

A sticky thread always stays on the first page of the forum. You could have a few stickies like a guide on posting messages, a collection of succes stories, a guide to journaling or something...

Anyways just my 2 cents...

One of the main weaknesses of this forum is that every question that has been asked has already been answered about 10 times here, but the wheel is re-created over and over as newbies come on board. It becomes exhausting after awhile to the point I don't want to offer any more advice at all. People dash off a question about thier particular symptom while claiming to have read Dr Sarno's books yet the answers are right there in his books in plain print. Furthermore, if they would use the search engine on this forum before sending their questions it would cut down on a lot of repititious clutter on here. There also needs to be an FAQ posted, and basically there are only about 20 of them.

That is my $13 worth.

Shawn: I guess you never heard of a sticky thread then. The most common questions, succes stories, and whatever else like that new topic by baseball with the 12 most important tms steps.

They could all be posted in 3 threads at the start of the forum. If people don't choose to read those, that is there problem O.o; ( Stickies stay put, they don't go down the pagedrain =/.) It lessens the need for searching, and if you want to get technical about it. It lessens the strain on the server

But what you are summing up is a problem in nearly every forum, and it will never ever completely go away.

Just my 50 bucks O.o;

A half dozen stickies would answer most newbie questions. Then again, people who have finally found what they have been looking for are so excited, they have a need to converse with others who have a mutual problem. Its good therapy.

If a thread is sticky it always comes first when you enter the board. Pretty much every board software supports it.

Shawn here is an example here http://bodybuilding.com/forum

click on any of the forum's different subjects and on most of them, the first 5 or 6 threads will be a sticky.

I just checked this forum's software ( Snitz Forums, you can see it at the bottom ) to see if they support it. It seems that they do...

Here's another example from the same software. I guess we'll have to ask Dave what he wants
