I would very much like to hear the thoughts of folks on this list regarding their experiences with, and the efficacy of, Sarno's lectures. I am talking about Sarno's lectures on DVD, since I reckon I will not have an opportunity to meet with the doctor in person.
[1] Having read Sarno's books, have you found his lectures to be a noticeable complement to the written texts?
[2] Or, are the lectures mostly Sarno repeating what he has written over the years?
[3] And lastly, has anyone on this list had any luck finding used copies of the DVDs? Where?

I have is lecture on tape. He does not really say anything more in his lectures than what he says in his books. Nevertheless, hearing and seeing him speak on the topic is a big psychological boost. Some say the taped lecture is a bit too scripted like an infomercial. I personally don't know where one can find second hand copies of his DVDs. I suspect that most people who purchase them keep them for life.

The lectures are good for really drilling it into your brain and yes, the dvd lecture is a complement to the books. True, most info is contained in the books, but you can hear the parts he emphasizes. I bought it and don't regret it.
I went to his lecture in January, and though the lecture contained some up-to-date information since this dvd from 1999, the dvd is still worthwhile (in my opinion).

He is a very powerful speaker and there is something about relating the person and their voice to the books.
