For those who have successful gotten over their TMS, did you ever have a movement where you said to yourself "this is it - this has what been causing my pain" or was it more daily introspection and eventually it went away?

I've had a couple such moments, where I think I've discovered what the problem is and the pain seems to subside. But then later the pain returns, and I realize that whatever is bothering me must be deeper.

Or, what is bothering you changes depending on current life stressors. It takes time to develop a new way of thinking and living, especially when our habits and patterns of living are so ingrained. For me, it's been a process of recovey, and I'm beginning to regard my symptoms, when they recur, as friend rather than foe (signals of an imbalance that needs to be addressed). For me, a gentle, compassionate, truth-seeking mode of daily introspection (rather than a rigorous pursuit--guerrila style--in which I question each and every thought I have) has worked best.
