I just finished reading this book, although it is not a tms book, I would reccomend it. The author is a professor of psychiatry at Harvard, senior research scientist at Harvard's Mindbody Institute,
and a research scientist at the Lab of Neurophysiology. There are 2 parts to the book: 1- One Body, Two Minds, 2- Reclaiming the Power of the Ancestral Mind. He is in agreement with Freud and Sarno on the unconscious mind, of the rage, etc, but he says that there are other parts of the unconscious that are positive, ie: intuition,
being one with nature, and just "being". Much of his writing reminded me of Eckhart Tolle and Byron Katie. He also backs up his
writing with mountains of research. I got it from the library, and I am debating with myself if I should buy it. I probably will. The first part of the book is trying to convince the Thinking Mind to release it's grip on us. The second part is regaining our Ancestral Mind, our Presence.I think with people like this writing about Mindbody medicine, it will become mainstream in my lifetime. Cheers!
