I don't feel the need to experience the repressed emotions. In the last couple of weeks I've done better than in the last 3 years just by buying more into the fact it's only TMS and not physical damage. I do have a good idea of what those feelings are so acknowledging them seems to be good enough for me at the moment. I don't care to feel the anger as I don't feel acting it out will do me any good and may end up straining relationships around me.
Bottom line though.. whatever works for the individual. If having a fit of anger helps a person get over the physical pain, then by all means let it out.
