I can't consider myself useful to the newcomer anymore unless I unabashedly call a spade a spade.
I just read a load of dribble and doublespeak mental mindclutter that has nothing whatsoever to do with recovery from TMS,yet is being fed to a hungry population of newer members...who I presume are in PAIN.
The best advice I ever got from a man a long time ago was "Make sure you know who you're getting your advice from"
There are members of this forum who have been around a loooongg time with no recovery or respite, yet they fill reems of forum folders with 'advice',technique and other mental 'laps' they run that has nothing whatsoever top do with recovery from PAIN which is what we are here for,if my memory serves me correctly.
People with little or no respite should identify as such so as not to confuse the newcomer.I think it's selfish and frankly,it pisses me off to see such NON relevant B.S. mindspin cluttering up a simple recovery program.
Read the book
Refute the structural
Return to activity
Recondition your mind
The tools are all inside the book....you don't need any 'extra credit' assignments.
...the rest is our experience with recovery from TMS.
ask them if they're better....not philosophically comforted.
I didn't come to Sarno to be instructed into the inner machinations of Gnostic mysticism.

"A load of dribble." Hey, that could apply to your long tirade on antidepressants the other day. |

Baseball,
You stated:
"There are members of this forum who have been around a loooongg time with no recovery or respite, yet they fill reems of forum folders with 'advice',technique and other mental 'laps' they run that has nothing whatsoever top do with recovery from PAIN which is what we are here for,if my memory serves me correctly."
I invite you visit some of these assumptions more carefully. People on this forum are not only in need of help but, because many of us are goodists, also want to help. I may be one of those people you are writing about in your post, but despite me not having achieved a full 100% recovery I persoanlly have made a lot of progress and broken down a lot of barriers and want to share what I have learned thus far with others. I feel good when someone writes back and says "thanks for that post and piece of advice, it really helped me." A lot of people on this forum say just that about many of your thoughtful posts.
Just because someone has not recovered does not mean they have not learned anything and thus have nothing to offer. That would be like saying since someone does not have a university degree they know nothing of physics or chemistry. People feel the need to share and reflect and I personally appreciate those who are trying their best to help others even while they themselves are suffering. Such noble efforts are to be commended and encouraged. We are all at different levels of understanding.
Peace and love...........
