I successfully "cured" Tms back pain about 3 years ago and then shoulder and upper back pain 2 years ago. I have had small flare ups that lasted a day or two, but not anything of any significance. A week ago playing volleyball, I fell and knowing that I jammed my wrist and shoulder, I went to a chiropractor. Since he adjusted my back and neck, I have had increasing pain in my shoulder and some in my arm (very much like I had two years ago). I am starting a new job in three weeks and I wonder if all the stress from that is causing the TMS to flare up again. I am a little scared, I have to admit, and angry at myself for letting a chiropractor adjust my neck (I never liked the idea of hearing it pop. I think that I am also just worrying and letting the TMS weasel its way back to causing problems.

Any suggestions??

Also, has anyone seen the TMS Dr. in Somerset, NJ?

Since you went to the chiropractor you're thinking physical. That's a sure fire way to allow TMS to set back in.

Now I suspect that the chiropractic adjustment was a trigger for TMS. Clearly starting a new job is a huge source of stress and needs to be explored.

Sounds like you got off the TMS track. TMS is a life-long change in the way of thinking about pain. You fell into old traps, thinking physical and going to the chiropractor. Time to get back on the wagon.

I think that you are right. Today, is weird, though. The arm pain is minimal, the neck pain is almost gone, but my mid back feels like someone beat me with a baseball bat. Does this sound like shifting symptoms to anyone else? Hopefully, that means that I am on my way to defeating this flare up. I think that I will go for a walk tonight.
