Last April I got an epidural shot that reduced my back pain by about 50%. One week later I was overwhelmed by a terrific headache. Since that day, I have had debilitating tension headaches every day, sometimes lasting from when I wake up until I go to sleep. I have recently been diagnosed with TMS, and am sure that the headaches are a symptom of TMS (given that their onset came so soon after the alleviation of another symptom.)
Have any of you who have recovered from TMS had such intense daily headaches that have since gone away? I have read much about TMS-related bodily pain disappearing, but little about chronic tension headaches.

Yes, I have, and for almost 1 year. I tried every drug and therapy and nothing worked. But the headaches eventually went away and were replaced by chronic neck pain. I am almost rid of the pneck ain though! the trick was finally admitting (internally) that it was psychogenic.
I had chronic headaches for the last two years. Sometimes every single day for months. Sometimes I'd go a few weeks without them but then they'd be back for at least a month.
Since learning of TMS I rid myself of the headaches for about 2 months. But I just had my first relapse of neck pain/headaches and I have them again but I'm hoping to be rid of them again soon.
