I have to second AnneG's and LJJ's posts. Their experience is similar to mine. Set small goals; a little progress at a time; two steps forwward, one step back; focus on the progress, however small, not on the setbacks. I had back pain, neck pain, wrist pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, ankle pain, ibs and stomach problems. Dr. Siegel once said to me that the only explanation that makes sense for such a multiplicity of symptoms is a TMS-like process. We just don't mormally get pain in that many places at once! |
