Posted - 01/30/2014 : 11:31:16 I've been experiencing a return of TMS pain over the past 4 weeks after being pain free for over a year. My biggest barrier to relief is often fear of the pain. Today while running a mantra came to me..."I am relaxed and I'm pain-free." I repeated this over and over to myself (out loud under my breath) throughout the whole hour long run. I think it helped. Just putting that out there. And posting here always seems to help me... |

One of the people who used those mp3's was 60 year old William Sichel, who recently ran 472 miles in 6 days at the Across the Years event out in Arizona.

I'm an ultra guy myself. I've got Eason's book, and I plan to purchase the mp3's. The way I view it, it's another way to be actively indifferent to tms.
Thanks for the info! I'm an ultragal myself. :) Have participated in the Across the Years 48 Hr twice now. I will check these out. |

Posted - 02/01/2014 : 11:56:02 This reminds me co-counselling. As I recall, you come up with a mantra that opposes whatever thoughts or feelings you don't want to have. So your mantra makes perfect sense!
---------- Are you interested in self help for TMS though working with "parts" (sub-personalities) such as Internal Family Systems (IFS)? More info here: http://www.tmswiki.org/forum/forums/parts-therapy-and-ifs-internal-family-systems.34/
