It's interesting and I've noticed that awareness involves a sinking into the moment, a freedom where I *am* the affirmation as opposed to the yearning becoming yet another strain. At the moment it all comes and goes and my best guess this is the nature of the beast. Tis early days. |

There is nothing wrong with pleasurable activities as long as once again you aren't too anticipatory about it or too crazy about it, or you start using it as a drug to lessen your strain or to feel good about yourself. |

Ace1, indulge me in another question. Aside from mindfulness, awareness and othersuch wonderful contemplative delights, what say you regarding pleasure?
And by this I mean genuine guilt-free, lowdown, fabulous and body-zinging pleasure.

Just being constantly AWARE of when you are in strain mode is usually all it takes to fix it. Shine the light on it, bring it fully into your consciousness. But don't scold or argue or deny it. Affirmations worked well for me here like "I take my time" "I have all day" "I enjoy doing this", etc.

Any ideas on methods to regularly challenge this mindset?
