Happy New year, all! I truly hope 2012 brings you all healing and happiness!

Was thinking about this today... are you going to make a New Year's Resolution?

Part of me thinks... why create any extra pressure?

Part of me thinks.. why NOT create the pressure? Perhaps that would be a step in showing the TMS you're not afraid to set goals, despite what it's doing to you?

Or, are resolutions just silly anyway?

Personally, I always sort of liked the opportunity. I try to keep it realistic and something more short term... or at least something that can show some results short-term so it doesn't fade away too quickly.

Love to hear opinions... and even resolutions if you have any...

-5/29/2010 - Doc gives cocktail of allergy meds which induces first ever panic attack/anxiety.
-7/16/2010 - Anxiety stays/worsens - put on Xanax
2/1/2011 - Began Xanax taper - Withdrawal starts - full body chaos
-6/11/2011 - Last dose of Xanax. Physical/emotional chaos continues for several months.
-Now: Taking it day by day, looking for real answers and ways to heal myself without medical poison.

New Year's resolutions could be a sign of perfectionism (ie I can do better than what I am doing now) as well as a statement of discontent with your current situation, (ie I am unhappy with my weight) both of which put a lot of pressure on the self.

I was going through my head what mmy new year resolutions would be but I know myself that I will usually fail to live up to them.

I know you can't cure TMS or my other issues so I've decided to have fun.

Hard to have TMS when your having fun.

So I've entered a few races already

What's yours?
