Hi All,

I've seen a lot lately on the forum about plantar fascitis and running injuries and I wanted to share info on a book called "Born to Run" by Christopher McDougall. I've not actually read the book yet but I heard a podcast on NPR of an interview the author gave w/Bob Edwards. He studied a tribe in Mexico where it is not unusual for people in their 60s run the equivalent of ultramarathons w/no apparent negative effects. In fact, they enjoy great health. They do this w/o the benefit of fancy running shoes. Running injuries are not heard of in this tribe. Its a worthwhile podcast to listen to and he makes a strong case that these injuries are not based in actual medical problems.

Yes, we're all talking about this on the thread below: Read and Resurrect.

Love is the answer, whatever the question

Oops...just noticed that Wavy Soul also recommended this book less than a week ago. Sorry for the repeat. Glad to hear someone on the forum's read it. I look forward to it.
