Posted - 05/04/2008 : 19:06:36 NBC is advertising a segment on Monday's (May 5) Nightly News called "The Mindbody Connection."
It will probably be a disappointment to us, but might be a step in the right direction. I hope so anyway.

Posted - 05/08/2008 : 12:58:04 On Wednesday night's NBC Nightly News, the segment on "The Mindbody Connection," was about Tai Chi. Brian Williams mentioned that this one was the final one of the series. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032619/#24508861
Too bad the series didn't get to what we are interested in. I didn't really expect that it would.

Posted - 05/07/2008 : 12:53:20 Thanks for the tip. Maybe they'll do something more about the 'real' mind-body connection.
I'd love to see "60 Minutes" do an in-depth story about Dr. Sarno. I bet it would have a real impact. |

Posted - 05/06/2008 : 20:57:41 The Tuesday night segment on "The Mindbody Connection" was about "mindful eating," as opposed to dieting. The link is at: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032619/#24489997
Still nothing of great interest to us.

Posted - 05/05/2008 : 20:19:50 I watched NBC Nightly News tonight to see this segment. It was mostly about the trend toward Integrative Medicine in this country, adding complementary medicine to such things as cancer treatment; i.e., hypnosis, meditation, acupuncture, etc. Nothing about chronic pain yet. But they described it as a series for this week, so maybe there will be more segments.
The link to Monday's segment is: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032619/#24471983
fast Internet connection recommended.
