For 3 days I had a burning pain down my left leg, thought it was TMS and tried some of the tools I have learned with only a little success. However since there was any success at all. I KNEW it was TMS. Remembered something I'd seen on this site and journaled for 30 min with my left hand last night. Mostly venting. Then I slept like a baby and woke up pain free. Thank you to whomever posted that tool recently.

Hi Carolyn

I suspect that most of what you're journaling when using the keyboard is coming from the left brain which is the conscious, rational thinking brain, although I do know people that can access their inner child, intuitive, subconscious left brain mind doing it this way. You will know when what you are writing seems different - like another voice, a different way of expressing things, perhaps more childish, or inspirational, in nature. You just know that you wouldn't talk like that normally. Or you might say to yourself "Wow, where did that come from?"

Left brain dumping, or flow writing, is always helpful because it clears the mind chatter for one to listen for guidance and intuition. So in that regard, your typing on the keyboard is having some benefit. But it is my experience that using the undominant hand (see my previous post on this topic) is the best way to access the child brain, the subconscious, and Divine guidance for healing and recovering from childhood wounds. I just wish more people reading this would try it.

Many blessings

I always do my journaling on the computer because it allows me to password protect the file which makes me feel free to write uncensored. Is this type of journaling less effective since I can't use my non-dominant hand?

Hi Joyful

I'm so glad someone took heed of that suggestion. You've allowed your "raging" inner child to express herself. That means you released old dis-eased energy created from earlier life experiences, energy that cramps blood flow and creates oxygen deprivation and pain. Your body should definitely feel better.

"In every culture and in every medical tradition before ours, healing was accomplished by moving energy." Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, Nobel Laureate in Medicine

FYI
98% of right handers need to use the left hand to access their subconscious, intuitive, inner child creative right brain.

66% of left handers need to use the left hand to access same

34% of left handers need to use the right hand to access same

2% of right handers need to use the right hand to access same

For those who try this insightful technique, you may need to play around with both hands to see which one works for you. Remember, the information you want to write doesn't come from the conscious mind so don't judge what comes; just let it come.

Many blessings

Would this work for someone who's mostly ambidextrious? I alternate hands a lot as it is but I am dominantly left handed. I write a tad bit slower with the right hand but I can still do it without much trouble. Growing up a lefty in a right handed world makes you lean more towards ambidextrism in my humble opinion.
