Posted - 02/01/2006 : 10:37:53 I usually talk about and journal about many diffrent things, never the same. My question is I write something in my journal and I feel the feelings but when I talk to the therapist a draw a blank because in my head i wrote about it and i got over it and once I write about it I write all the fine details but when I talk I cant really remember any of them even if what I say to my therapist is what I wrote last night. I find myself stopping in the middle of a journal because I think its important that my therapist knows about this part of my life the way I want to write it extensivly. Can anyone reccomend anything? Should I write about something else and then just keep a note that I need to talk to the therapist about something? |

Posted - 02/02/2006 : 08:18:21 One caveat to this: if you plan to share your journal with your therapist you may have a tendency to censor yourself in fear that you will be embarrassed or judged.
Be sure to continue to treat your journal as a private exercise. The therapist is an impartial, non-judgemental observer and you must feel free to share anything that comes to your mind. |

If your therapist asks about something that you've journaled about, you could read from your journal. If you've written a lot, you might need to organize your notes so you can find topics easily. |
